Research Interests
My lab is interested in the molecular mechanisms of thymocyte development, including (1) how the ordering and allelic exclusion of T cell receptor (TCR) gene recombination are achieved, (2) how TCR signaling and its downstream effectors control positive/negative selection and (3) how transcription factors determine the CD4/CD8 lineage commitment. We are also interested in how peripheral T cells collaborate with other immune cells to control immune response. Currently, our research approaches include biochemical, molecular biological and immunological techniques, large-scale gene expression profiling and analysis of transgenic and knockout mice.
